Lakes, bays, and sounds
Lakes, bays, and sounds means a route on any of the following waters:
(1) A lake other than the Great Lakes.
(2) A bay.
(3) A sound.
(4) Such other similar waters as may be designated by the cognizant Coast Guard District Commander.
