Ala. Admin. Code r. 356-X-7-.03 - Food Service

(1) The ASFA operates a food service program as an auxiliary service to the educational program. The food service program shall be operated in such a manner as to provide attractive, nutritional meals for the maximum benefit of every child.
(2) The food service program shall operate as a nonprofit service to pupils, faculty and staff.
(3) Resident students are required to participate in one of the several food plans offered by the food service program.
(4) Exception to the use of a food plan for the resident student is given only when a licensed medical doctor issues a written statement that the ASFA food service program cannot comply with the specific dietary requirements as prescribed for medical reasons.
(5) Nonresident students are not required to participate in any food service program of the ASFA.
