8 AAC 61.170 - Rules of procedure
(a) The rules of procedure in this chapter
govern the proceedings for notices of contest before the board. In the absence
of a specific provision, procedure is governed by the rules of civil procedure.
The board may make other rulings of procedure in a specific case if the board
finds that the ruling is necessary for the fair and orderly conduct of the
proceeding.
(b) The board's rules
of procedure are intended to facilitate business and promote a speedy and just
resolution of contested cases. The board may relax the rules of procedure if
strict adherence to them would work an injustice to one or more of the
parties.
