Ariz. Admin. Code § R4-12-413 - Continuing Education Hours Required
A. Unless a funeral director or embalmer
obtains a waiver under
R4-12-414,
the funeral director or embalmer shall complete 12 credit hours or more of
continuing education every calendar year as follows:
1. At least three credit hours in mortuary
sciences;
2. At least three credit
hours in ethical considerations in business practices and state and federal
laws; and
3. At least six other
credit hours intended to enhance professional development or
competence.
B. Unless an
embalmer's assistant obtains a waiver under
R4-12-414,
the embalmer's assistant shall complete six credit hours or more of continuing
education every calendar year as follows:
1.
At least three credit hours in mortuary sciences, and
2. At least three credit hours covering
compliance with state and federal laws.
C. A licensee who has been licensed for less
than 12 months during a calendar year shall complete one credit hour of
continuing education for each month of licensure.
D. A registrant who has been registered for
less than 12 months during a calendar year shall complete one credit hour of
continuing education for every two months of registration.
