007.02.01 Ark. Code R. § 001 - Regulations Pertaining to Record Maintenance Fees (RMF)

SECTION I. AUTHORITY

The following Rules and Regulations pertaining to Records Maintenance Fees are adopted pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 20-7-127 .

SECTION II. PURPOSE

To ensure that fees collected by local health units, from each client who is financially able to pay the fee, are adequate to enable local health units to continue the provision of essential services and to provide for the expansion and improvement of local health unit facilities in Arkansas.

SECTION III. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Effective January 1, 2002, the Department of Health is authorized:

1. to charge a five dollar ($5.00) record maintenance fee per visit for each client receiving services; or
2. to charge a twenty five dollar ($25.00) record maintenance fee annually for each client receiving services.

All collections shall be made and controlled pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 20-7-127(c).

SECTION IV. REPEAL

All rules and regulations and parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
