Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 14, § 131 - Fishery Closures Due to Human Health Risk
(a) The following areas and fisheries are
closed pursuant to Fish and Game Code section
5523:
(1) The commercial rock crab fishery is
closed in all state waters north of 40°.00.00' N. latitude near the
Mendocino/Humboldt County line to 40° 30.00' near Cape Mendocino, Humboldt
County and from north of 40° 46.15' N. latitude at the north jetty of the
Humboldt Bay entrance to the California/Oregon border. State waters extend
three nautical miles beyond outermost islands, reefs and
rocks.
(b) Declarations
of fishery closures pursuant to Fish and Game Code section
5523
will remain in effect until the Director of the department signs a declaration
opening the fishery.
(c) While a
fishery closure pursuant to this section is in effect, it shall be unlawful to
take fish in the closed area or fishery.
