Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 17, § 59054 - Administrator Qualifications
(a) An administrator must:
(1) Have a minimum of two years of prior
experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with
developmental disabilities and be one of the following:
(A) A Registered Behavior
Technician.
(B) A Licensed
Psychiatric Technician.
(C) A
Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.
(b) An administrator must complete the
Residential Services Orientation as required per Section
56003(b).
(c) In addition to the training required by
Section 59057(a) and (b),
the licensee shall ensure that, prior to providing direct consumer care,
administrators receive hands-on training in first aid and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation by a certified instructor from one of the following:
(1) the American Red Cross;
(2) the American Heart Association;
(3) a training institution accredited by an
accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education;
or
(4) a training facility or
course certified by the Emergency Medical Service Authority (EMSA).
(d) Administrators shall maintain
current certifications in first aid and cardiopulmonary
resuscitation.
(e) First aid and
cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications must be renewed
annually.
(f) The licensee shall
maintain the first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications in
facility personnel records.
