Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 2, § 599.640 - Scope
This article shall apply to all housing accommodations provided by the state to its employees for residence except the following:
(a) Employees while in
travel status.
(b) Employees whose
pay and allowances are computed according to federal military pay regulations,
provided such employees actually do not receive a quarters allowance when
assigned to state-owned employee housing.
(c) Employees entitled to receive housing as
compensation for services.
(d)
Accommodations acquired by the state for eventual disposal which are rented to
employees on the same basis as to private tenants and are not primarily
provided for employee housing.
