Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 51180.1 - Hospice
(a) Hospice means a
public agency or private organization, or a subdivision thereof, or a facility
which:
(1) Is primarily engaged in providing
the items and services described in Section
51180 to terminally ill
individuals.
(2) Makes such
services available as needed on a 24-hour basis, and
(3) Provides bereavement counseling for the
immediate family and significant others.
