Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 51504.1 - Reimbursement for Services Rendered by a Licensed Midwife
(a) Reimbursement for services rendered by a
licensed midwife shall be the usual charges made to the general public not to
exceed the maximum reimbursement rates listed in Section
51503 for the same
service.
(b) Reimbursement shall be
made directly to the licensed physician and surgeon, clinic licensed pursuant
to Sections
1204
or
1204.3
of the Health and Safety Code, or a clinic exempt from licensure under Section
1206
of the Health and Safety Code that utilizes the licensed midwife's
services.
(c) Each claim for
licensed midwife services shall be submitted by the licensed physician and
surgeon, clinic licensed pursuant to Sections
1204
or
1204.3
of the Health and Safety Codes, or a clinic exempt from licensure under Section
1206
of the Health and Safety Codes, and shall include the name and Medi-Cal
provider number of each licensed midwife and licensed physician and surgeon who
supervised the provision of services for which reimbursement is being
claimed.
