Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 54321 - Personal Physician
(a) Close liaison shall be maintained with
the participant's personal physician. The personal physician shall retain
primary responsibility for the medical care of the participant.
(b) The personal physician shall be:
(1) Requested to provide the report of
physical examination and medical history required for initial
evaluation.
(2) Requested to sign
the Medi-Cal treatment authorization request for prior authorization if the
adult day health center does not have a staff physician.
(3) Informed, on a regular basis, of the
participant's status and progress.
(c) Reimbursement for services provided by a
personal physician to a participant shall neither be made by nor become the
responsibility of the center.
