Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 66264.96 - Compliance Period
(a) The
Department shall specify in the facility permit the compliance period for each
regulated unit. The compliance period is the number of years equal to the
active life of the regulated unit (including any waste management activity
prior to permitting, and the closure period) and constitutes the minimum period
of time during which the owner or operator shall conduct a water quality
monitoring program subsequent to a release from the regulated unit.
(b) The compliance period begins each time
the owner or operator initiates an evaluation monitoring program meeting the
requirements of section
66264.99.
(c) If the owner or operator is engaged in a
corrective action program at the scheduled end of the compliance period
specified under subsection (a) of this section, the compliance period is
extended until the owner or operator can demonstrate that the regulated unit
has been in compliance with the water quality protection standard of section
66264.92 for a period of three
consecutive years.
