In addition to Sections
80064 and
84064, with the exception of
Section 84064(e), the
following shall apply:
(a) An
administrator of a Group Home for Children with Special Health Care Needs must
be on duty at least 20 hours per week to ensure the effective operation of the
facility.
(b) An administrator of a
Group Home for Children with Special Health Care Needs shall meet the
Administrator Certification Requirements of Section
84064.2, have at least one year of
administrative and supervisory experience with a licensed residential program
for persons with developmental disabilities and be one or more of the
following:
(1) A licensed registered
nurse.
(2) A licensed nursing home
administrator at the time of facility licensure.
(3) A licensed psychiatric technician with at
least five years of experience serving individuals with developmental
disabilities.
(4) An individual
with a bachelor's degree or more advanced degree in the health or human
services field and two years of experience working in a licensed residential
program for persons with developmental disabilities and special health care
needs.

1567.51(c)(2)(B), this regulatory action and its first readoption are deemed to
be an emergency and are exempt from review by OAL and remain in effect for 180
days. A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 4-22-2024 or
emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following
day.
