Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 8, § 16202 - Special Determinations
(a) Awarding body request. The awarding body
shall request the Director to make a determination for a particular craft,
classification or type of worker not covered by a general determination. Any
such request shall be submitted at least 45 days prior to the bid advertisement
date.
(b) Department of Industrial
Relations initiated determination. Where an awarding body does not specify the
prevailing wage rate as set forth in Labor Code Section
1773.2, any
interested party (as defined in Section
16000 of these regulations) may
petition the Director as set forth in Labor Code Section
1773.4 and
Section 16302 of these regulations. The
Labor Commissioner may, prior to the letting of the bid, request such a
determination of the Director.
