4 CCR 725-3, ch. 3 - CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
3.1. The
continuing education requirements for Mortgage Loan Originators will begin
after issuance of the initial license.
A.
Mortgage Loan Originators will complete at least eight (8) hours of continuing
education courses, which must be reviewed and approved by the NMLS or by a
company contracted by the NMLS to review and approve continuing education
courses.
B. The continuing
education requirements must be completed each calendar year prior to renewal or
reinstatement.
3.2.
Completion of the twenty (20) hours of pre-licensing education approved by the
NMLS in the same year in which the initial license was approved will satisfy
the continuing education requirements in that calendar year.

3.5. At any time and
at no cost, the Board or the Board's authorized representative may audit any
continuing education courses reviewed and approved by the NMLS or by a company
contracted by the NMLS to review and approve continuing education courses. The
Board or the Board's authorized representative may request all related
instructional materials, student attendance records, and other information that
may be necessary for the audit. The purpose of the audit is to ensure adherence
to the approved course of study by verifying the course material and
instruction are consistent with acceptable educational principles; and that
instruction is provided in a manner that the desired learning objectives are
met. Failure to comply with relevant statutes and these Rules may result in the
withdrawal of the approval of the course provider, instructor, and/or the
course.
