Conn. Agencies Regs. § 16-11-83 - Test flows
(1) All meters used
for measuring the quantity of water delivered to a customer shall be in good
mechanical condition and shall be adequate in size and design for the type of
service which they measure and shall be accurate to the following
standards.
(2) For determination of
minimum test flow over normal test flow limits, the commission will use as a
guide the appropriate standard specifications of the American Water Works
Association for the various types of meters. These test flows for positive
displacement type cold water meters are as follows:

(3) Displacement meters shall be tested at
each of the rates of flow stated above for the various size meters. A meter
shall not be placed in service if it registers less than ninety-five per cent
of the water passed through it at the minimum test flow or over registers or
under registers more than one and one-half per cent at the intermediate or
maximum limit. A repaired meter shall not over register or under register more
than one and one-half per cent of the intermediate and maximum flows.
