Conn. Agencies Regs. § 18-81kk-7 - Dispute Resolution
(a) If an
individual who requests documents pursuant to section 18-81kk-3 of the
Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies disagrees with any decision made with
respect to:
(1) the withholding or redacting
of documents;
(2) an extension of
the response date;
(3) the cost of
the documents; or
(4) the
interpretation of these regulations, the requestor may appeal the decision in
writing to the Commissioner.
(b) An appeal shall contain a short and
concise description of the nature and basis of the dispute and a return street
address or electronic email address where the Commissioner shall send a written
response to the appeal.
(c) Not
later than forty-five (45) days after the Commissioner receives a written
appeal pursuant to subsection (a) of this section, the Commissioner shall
respond as provided in subsection (b) of this section. The deadline may be
extended if, in the opinion of the Commissioner, there is good cause for such
an extension. The response to the appeal shall represent the final decision of
the Department of Correction on each matter of such appeal.
