Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 513-1-1-.06 - Medical Board
(1) Members of the Employees' Retirement
System who apply for disability retirement should be examined, whenever
possible, by a member of the Medical Board or a physician selected by the
Chairman of the Medical Board.
(2)
The Board of Trustees shall review and take action on applications for
disability retirement if the Medical Board recommends denial but the Social
Security Administration and/or the examining physician (a member of the Medical
Board or a physician selected by the Chairman of the Medical Board) recommends
approval.
