Haw. Code R. § 16-83-14 - Application for temporary permit

(a) An application for a temporary permit to engage in the business of dealing and fitting of hearing aids under the direct supervision of a licensed hearing aid dealer and fitter shall be filed with the board at any time and shall be accompanied by the required fee. The board may delegate to the board's executive secretary the authority to issue a temporary permit to qualified applicants which shall be good for one year.
(b) In the event the holder of a temporary permit has not passed the examination within one year from the date of issuance, the executive secretary may reissue the temporary permit once upon written request and payment of the required fee.
