Haw. Code R. § 19-149-6 - Evidence of lawful status
The examiner of drivers shall verify that the submitted documents for proof of lawful status are authenticated through electronic or other means, including verification through the systematic alien verification for entitlements system. The examiner of drivers may accept any one of the following primary documents as proof of lawful status:
(1) Valid, unexpired United States passport
or United States passport card;
(2)
Certified copy of a birth certificate filed with a state office of vital
statistics or equivalent agency in the individual's state of birth;
(3) Consular report of birth abroad Form
FS-240, DS-1350 or FS-545 issued by the United States Department of
State;
(4) Valid, unexpired
permanent resident card (Form 1-551) issued by Department of Homeland Security
or United States Immigration and Naturalization Service;
(5) Certificate of naturalization Form N-550
or Form N-570 issued by Department of Homeland Security;
(6) Certificate of citizenship, Form N-560 or
Form N-561, issued by Department of Homeland Security; or
(7) Documentation issued by Department of
Homeland Security or other federal agencies demonstrating lawful status as
determined by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service.
