Idaho Admin. Code r. 24.31.01.012 - EXAMINATIONS FOR LICENSURE

Written
Examination. Successful completion of the NBDE may be required of all
applicants for a license to practice dentistry or a dental specialty.
Successful completion of the NBDHE may be required of all applicants for a
license to practice dental hygiene. Dental therapists must successfully
complete a board-approved written examination. Any other written examination
will be specified by the Board. (3-28-23)
02.
Clinical Examination. All
applicants for a license to practice general dentistry, dental hygiene or
dental therapy are required to pass a Board-approved clinical examination upon
such subjects as specified by the Board. Applicants for dental hygiene and
dental therapy licensure must pass a clinical local anesthesia examination.
Clinical examination results will be valid for licensure by examination for a
period of (5) five years from the date of successful completion of the
examination. (3-28-23)
