Ill. Admin. Code tit. 20, § 701.190 - Telephone
a) Detainees may
place at least one telephone call each week. Additional calls may be permitted
by the jail administrator.
b)
Detainees may be required to bear the expense of any telephone calls they make
or to place only collect calls.
c)
A minimum of five minutes shall be allotted for each phone call.
d) Telephone calls may be monitored unless
prior special arrangements have been made to make or receive confidential
telephone calls to or from the detainee's attorney. A notice stating telephone
calls may be monitored or recorded shall be posted by each telephone from which
detainees may place calls.
e) Rules
governing the use of the telephone shall be established. Violation of telephone
rules may result in suspension of the detainee's use of the telephone for a
designated period of time.
