Ill. Admin. Code tit. 35, § 724.211 - Closure Performance Standard

The owner or operator must close the facility in a manner that does the following:

a) The closure minimizes the need for further maintenance;
b) The closure controls, minimizes, or eliminates, to the extent necessary to adequately protect to human health and the environment, post-closure escape of hazardous waste, hazardous constituents, leachate, contaminated run-off, or hazardous decomposition products to the ground or surface waters or to the atmosphere; and
c) The closure complies with the closure requirements of this Part including, but not limited to, Sections 724.278, 724.297, 724.328, 724.358, 724.380, 724.410, 724.451 and 724.701 through 724.703, and 724.1102.
