This chapter shall apply to all individual accident and
sickness insurance policies and subscriber contracts of service corporations,
organized under Iowa Code chapter 514, delivered or issued for delivery to any
person in this state on and after the effective date hereof, except it shall
not apply to individual policies or contracts issued pursuant to a conversion
privilege under a policy or contract of group or individual insurance when the
group or individual policy or contract includes provisions which are
inconsistent with the requirements of this chapter, nor to policies being
issued to employees or members as additions to franchise plans in existence on
the effective date of this chapter The requirements contained in this chapter
shall be in addition to any other applicable regulations previously
adopted.
