Iowa Admin. Code r. 801-14.2 - Definition
For purposes of this chapter, "veteran" means the same as defined in Iowa Code section 35.1 and federal VA regulations; a resident of Iowa who served in the armed forces of the United States, completed a minimum aggregate of 90 days of active federal service, other than training, and was discharged under honorable conditions; or a former member of the national guard, reserve, or regular component of the armed forces of the United States who was honorably discharged due to injuries incurred while on active federal service that precluded completion of a minimum aggregate of 90 days of active federal service, other than training.
