Kan. Admin. Regs. § 1-16-3 - Official station; three months

If an employee has been continuously stationed at one place for three months, or travels to a place of work where more than one-half of the work time is spent for three or more months, that place shall be immediately designated as the official station and no further allowance shall be made for subsistence expenses incurred there. Upon written application to and approval of the secretary of administration, a maximum of two extensions may be requested and approved. Each extension shall not exceed three months but in no event shall the total duration of such extensions exceed six additional months.
