Kan. Admin. Regs. § 1-2-84 - Supervisor
"Supervisor" means an employee in a position that meets all of the following criteria:
(a) Performs
a majority of work that is different from that of the employee's subordinates;
and
Workforce Planning and Control
(b) has the responsibility to authorize or
recommend in the interest of the employer a majority of the following actions:
(1) To hire, transfer, suspend, promote,
demote, dismiss, and discipline employees under that individual's supervision
and to address employee grievances; and
(2) to assign, direct, and conduct
performance reviews of the work.
The exercise of this authority and responsibility shall not be of a merely routine or clerical nature but shall require the use of independent judgment.
