Kan. Admin. Regs. § 115-20-7 - Migratory doves; legal equipment, taking methods, and possession
(a) Legal hunting
equipment for migratory doves shall consist of the following:
(1) Shotguns that are not larger than 10
gauge, use shot ammunition, and are incapable of holding more than three shells
in total capacity;
(2) archery
equipment;
(3) crossbows;
(4) falconry equipment;
(5) optical scopes or sights that project no
visible light toward the target and do not electronically amplify visible or
infrared light; and
(6) blinds,
stands, calls, and decoys, except live decoys.
(b) The use of dogs shall be permitted while
hunting.
(c) Any type of apparel
may be worn while hunting migratory doves.
(d) Legally taken migratory doves may be
possessed without limit in time and may be given to another if accompanied by
an attached, dated written notice that includes the donor's printed name,
signature, and address; the total number of birds; the dates the birds were
killed; and the permit or license number. The person receiving the meat shall
retain the notice until the meat is consumed, given to another, or otherwise
disposed of.
(e) Migratory doves
shall be taken only while in flight.
