Kan. Admin. Regs. § 129-6-120 - Eligibility before the month of application

The eligibility of an applicant for the medical assistance program shall be determined for the three months immediately before the month of application if the applicant requests this determination.

(a) Automatic eligibles. The applicant shall be eligible for medical assistance in any of the three months in which the applicant would have been automatically eligible for medical assistance if the applicant would have applied for medical assistance during the month.
(b) Determined eligibles. The prior eligibility base period shall begin on the first day of the first month in which all eligibility factors other than financial are met without regard to current eligibility.
