Kan. Admin. Regs. § 28-4-1205 - Background checks
(a) With each
initial application or renewal application, each applicant or licensee shall
submit a request to conduct a background check by the Kansas bureau of
investigation and a background check by the Kansas department of social and
rehabilitation services in order to comply with the provisions of
K.S.A. 65-516, and amendments thereto. Each request
shall be submitted on a form provided by the department. The request shall list
the required information for each individual 10 years of age and older who will
be residing, working, or regularly volunteering in the PRTF.
(b) Each licensee shall submit a request to
the department to conduct a background check by the Kansas bureau of
investigation and a background check by the Kansas department of social and
rehabilitation services before each new individual begins residing, working, or
regularly volunteering in the PRTF.
(c) A copy of each request for a background
check shall be kept on file at the PRTF.
(d) Residents admitted into a PRTF for care
and treatment shall not be considered to be residing in the PRTF for the
purposes of background checks.
