Kan. Admin. Regs. § 30-2-16 - Permanency planning goals for title IV-E of the federal social security act
(a) The agency's
permanency planning goal for the federal fiscal year commencing on October 1,
1999 shall be to have no more than 600 children who have been in foster care
placements in excess of 24 consecutive months receive federal funding during
the course of the year.
(b) Both
of the following steps shall be taken by the agency to achieve the above-stated
goal:
(1) A reasonable effort shall be made
to make adoption assistance available on behalf of eligible children.
(2) A case review shall be
initiated and a plan shall be developed for each child in the custody of the
agency.
