Kan. Admin. Regs. § 88-22-8 - Agreement
A student who has been designated a teacher scholar by the executive officer shall enter into an agreement with the executive officer which requires the applicant to:
(a)
Complete the required course of instruction leading to certification in a
hard-to-fill teaching discipline;
(b) engage in teaching in a hard-to-fill
teaching discipline in Kansas;
(c)
commence teaching in a hard-to-fill teaching discipline in Kansas in an
accredited public or private elementary or secondary school no later than the
beginning of the term immediately following certification and continue teaching
for a period of not less than the length of the course of instruction for which
the scholarship was awarded;
(d)
maintain records and make reports as required by the executive officer to
document the satisfaction of the obligations under these regulations; and
(e) repay amounts to the state as
required by K.S.A. 1991 Supp.
74-32,104, and amendments thereto,
upon failure to satisfy an agreement to engage in teaching in a hard-to-fill
discipline for the required period of time, in the manner set forth in 88-22-11 .
