Kan. Admin. Regs. § 9-10-7 - Inspection of sheep and goats

All sheep and goats shall be given an inspection for communicable, contagious or infectious diseases. Veterinary inspectors shall use particular care in making examination to detect scabies infestation. If sheep or goats are found to be infested with scabies, the veterinary inspector shall quarantine the animals, and shall promptly notify the livestock sanitary commissioner.

The livestock sanitary commissioner may direct operators of public livestock markets to dip, with approved solution, all sheep and goats which are offered for sale or sold.
