Kan. Admin. Regs. § 9-18-18 - Contingency planning
Each licensee shall develop, document, and follow a written contingency plan to provide for the humane handling, treatment, transportation, housing, and care of the animals on the premises if an emergency or natural disaster occurs. The plan shall be updated annually, be made available to the commissioner or the commissioner's representatives upon request, and at minimum include the following:
(a)
Identification of potential known risks, including power failures, fires,
natural disasters, and faulty heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
systems;
(b) an outline of specific
tasks required to be carried out in response to the identified emergency;
and
(c) identification of the
individual or individuals responsible for carrying out the plan, along with
contact information for each individual.
