10-148 C.M.R. ch. 6, § 3 - WAIT LIST
A. The Department
must maintain a Wait List if funding is not available at the time the
Department receives a Parent's complete program application for the Child Care
Affordability Program.
B. Parents
on the Wait List shall receive written notification annually from the
Department, informing them they have thirty (30) calendar days to provide
updated program application information if they wish to remain on the Wait
List.
C.
Priorities for Wait
List
1. Children from Families at or
below 85% SMI at time of application or redetermination, Children who are
Homeless, and Children with Special Needs will have priority over other
Children otherwise eligible for Child Care Affordability.
2. As funding becomes available, all other
Parents are selected from the Wait List on a first-come, first-served basis,
based on the date the Department received the completed application or
redetermination.
3. Exceptions to
the above may be granted by the State Child Care Administrator for the
following:
a. In cases of catastrophic events
including, but not limited to: fires; storms; accidents; or Family emergencies,
including, but not limited to, surgery and other medical procedures;
or
b. For siblings of Children
accepted from the Wait List. When funding is not available to serve all
siblings, the remaining siblings will continue in their position on the Wait
List for Child Care Services.
