12-181 C.M.R. ch. 3, § 1.5 - Criteria for Pre-Apprenticeable Occupations
A pre-apprenticeable occupation is one which is specified by the industry and possesses all the following characteristics:
A. Is customarily learned in a practical way
through a structured systematic program of on-the-job supervised
training.
B. It is clearly
identified and commonly recognized throughout an industry.
C. It involves manual, mechanical, or
technical skills and knowledge which require a minimum number of on-the-job
learning hours to attain; and
D. It
requires related classroom instruction to enhance and supplement the on-the-job
training.
