In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended by the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1991 ( 42 U.S.C. § 1981, 2000 e et. seq.) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended ( 29 U.S.C. 5794 ), the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended ( 42 U.S.C. § 6101 et seq.), Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.), and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Maine Department of Human Services does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, disability or age in admission or access to or treatment or employment in its programs and activities.

Ann Twombly, Affirmative Action Coordinator, has been designated to coordinate our efforts to comply with the U.S..' Department of Health and Human Services regulations ( 45 C.F.R. Parts 80,'84, and 91) and the U.S. Department of Education regulations ( 34 C.F.R. Part 106 ) implementing these Federal laws.
