SUMMARY STATEMENT

This rule is established to govern comprehensive background checks for licensed child care providers (which includes child care facilities and family child care providers) in accordance with the requirements of 22 M.R.S. §8302-A and § 8302-C and 42 U.S.C. § 9858f(b) and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Children served.

AUTHORITY

This rule is promulgated under the authority of 22 M.R.S. §§42(1) and 8302-A(1)(J),(2) (K).
