Md. Code Regs. 15.15.04.02 - Definitions
A. In this chapter,
the following terms have the meanings indicated.
B. Terms Defined.
(1) "Existing dwelling" means a building,
structure, trailer, or mobile home that was designated by the landowner and
recognized by the Foundation and the county as an existing dwelling at the time
of the establishment of an agricultural land preservation district or sale of
the Agricultural Preservation Easement, whether or not the dwelling was
occupied at the time of the sale.
(2) "Farm" means any land subject to an
agricultural land preservation easement or district agreement.
(3) "Foundation" means the Maryland
Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation.
(4) Restoration to Agricultural Use.
(a) "Restoration to agricultural use" means
to alter the land to open space so that it may produce a crop or be used for
livestock.
(b) "Restoration to
agricultural use" does not include altering an existing dwelling to another use
as an accessory farm building.
