Mich. Admin. Code R. 168.777 - Preliminary accuracy test
Rule 7.
(1) The
election commission providing the program or its authorized assistant shall
conduct a preliminary accuracy test of the computers and programs for all
precincts prior to the accuracy test.
(2) The preliminary accuracy test shall be
conducted using the test decks prepared under the direction of the commission.
For the purpose of this test, the test deck may be reproduced onto standard
data processing cards.
(3) When an
errorless count has been made for all precincts, the commission or its
authorized assistant providing the program shall do all of the following:
(a) Secure the programs, test decks, and
predetermined results in a metal container, which shall be sealed with a metal
seal.
(b) Certify that all
precincts have been tested using the test deck prepared under the direction of
the commission and that the results agree with the predetermined results of the
test deck. The certificate shall contain the number of the seal which was used
to secure the program.
(c) Deliver
programs, test decks, predetermined results, and the certificate to the clerk
of the unit of government providing the program.
