Mich. Admin. Code R. 299.4447 - Type II landfill engineering plans; post-closure plan
Rule 447.
(1)
Effective October 9, 1993, the owner or operator of a type II landfill shall
prepare a written post-closure plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the
following information:
(a) A description of
the monitoring and maintenance activities that are required for each unit, and
the frequency at which these activities will be performed.
(b) Name, address, and telephone number of
the person or office to contact about the facility during the post-closure
period.
(c) A description of the
planned uses of the property during the post-closure period. Post-closure use
of the property shall not disturb the integrity of the final cover, liner or

the monitoring systems unless necessary to comply with the requirements of
these rules. The owner and operator shall not otherwise disturb the final
cover, liner, or other component of the containment system or remove any waste
unless the director has approved the disturbance based on a demonstration that
it will not increase the potential threat to human health or the
environment.
(2) The
approved post-closure plan shall be placed in the operating record.
