Mich. Admin. Code R. 338.10405b - Nurse practitioner specialty certification renewal or reregistration; schedule; requirements; maintenance of evidence of compliance
Rule 405b.
(1)
Specialty certification renewal must correspond with the same schedule as the
license renewal.
(2) An applicant
for renewal or reregistration of a lapsed certification who holds national
certification as a nurse practitioner shall have obtained recertification or
maintained certification within the 2-year period immediately before the
application from 1 of the following organizations or successor organizations:
(a) The American Nurses Credentialing
Center.
(b) The Pediatric Nursing
Certification Board.
(c) The
National Certification Corporation for Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner
and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
(d) The American Academy of Nurse
Practitioners for Family Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Nurse Practitioners,
and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners.
(e) The Oncology Nursing Certification
Corporation.
(f) The American
Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation.
(g) The American Association of Nurse
Practitioners.
(3) An
applicant or licensee shall maintain evidence of compliance with the
requirements of this rule for a period of 4 years after the date of
application, during which time the board may require the licensee to submit the
evidence for audit.
