Mich. Admin. Code R. 400.1427 - Living space
Rule 27.
(1) A
licensee shall provide, per occupant, not less than 35 square feet of indoor
living space, exclusive of bathrooms, storage areas, hallways, kitchen, and
sleeping areas.
(2) A resident
shall not be housed above a second floor of a 3-story single-family
residence.
(3) Living and sleeping
areas for a resident shall be contained within the home.
(4) Subrules (1) and (2) of this rule do not
apply to those adult foster care family home applicants or licensees who
applied for a license or who were issued a license before the promulgation of
these rules.
