Mich. Admin. Code R. 400.4146 - Immunizations

Rule 146.

(1) A resident shall have current immunizations as required by the department of community health.
(2) If documentation of immunizations is unavailable, immunizations shall begin within 30 calendar days of admission, unless a statement from a physician indicating that immunizations are contraindicated is included in the residents record.
(3) A written statement from a physician, referring agency, parent, or guardian indicating immunizations are current is sufficient documentation of immunizations.
(4) Nothing in the rules adopted under 1973 PA 116 shall authorize or require immunizations for any child whose parent objects on religious grounds. If a parent objects to immunizations on religious grounds, the objection shall be made in writing to the institution and retained in the residents file.
