Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.13360 - Eyecup lenses and retaining rings
Rule 3360.
(1)
An eyecup shall be provided with a rigidly constructed lens retaining ring of
metal or of plastic designed to accommodate lenses and to permit their ready
removal and replacement without damage to the eyecup or to the lenses and
without the use of tools. The ring shall provide a complete clamping action
against the lens. Lens retainers for welder's and cutter's models shall
accommodate a filter lens, fiber gasket, and cover lens.
(2) A filter lens shall be marked with the
shade designation and a permanent and legible marking by which the manufacturer
may be readily identified. A glass filter lens, when treated for
impact-resistance, shall also be marked with the letter "H."
