Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.13383 - Criteria for protective footwear
Rule 3383.
(1)
Protective footwear shall comply with any of the following consensus standards:
(a) ASTM F-2412 "Standard Test Methods for
Foot Protection," 2005 edition, as adopted in
R
408.13301a.
(b) ASTM F-2413 "Standard Specification for
Performance Requirements for Protective Footwear," 2005 edition, as adopted in
R
408.13301a.
(c) ANSI Z-41 "American National Standard for
Personal Protection -- Protective Footwear," 1999 edition, as adopted in
R
408.13301a.
(2) Protective footwear that an employer
demonstrates is at least as effective as protective footwear that is
constructed in accordance with 1 of the consensus standards adopted in subrule
(1) of this rule, shall be considered to be in compliance with the requirements
of this rule.
