Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.14508 - Employee responsibility
Rule 4508.
(1)
An employee shall not operate a machine until he has been trained in its
operating procedures, hazards and safeguards and has been authorized to operate
it.
(2) An employee shall report
immediately to his supervisor a machine, equipment or safeguard which is
defective.
(3) An authorized
employee shall remove guards from a machine for maintenance or set up only. The
guard shall be replaced before the machine is returned for
production.
