Mich. Admin. Code R. 432.625c - Provisional licenses for internet gaming suppliers
Rule 625c.
(1)
Upon written request of a person applying for an internet gaming suppliers
license, the executive director may issue a provisional license to the
applicant and permit the applicant to conduct business transactions with, and
provide goods and services to, internet gaming operators, if all of the
following provisions are complied with:
(a) A
completed application, an application fee, and all required disclosure forms
and other required written documentation and materials have been submitted by
the applicant.
(b) Preliminary
review of the application and a criminal history check does not reveal that the
applicant or the applicants affiliate or key person has been convicted of a
felony or misdemeanor involving gambling, theft, dishonesty, or fraud, or may
otherwise be ineligible or unsuitable to permit licensure under the act or
these rules.
(c) There is no other
apparent deficiency in the application that may require denial of the
application.
(d) The applicant has
a letter of intent to provide goods or services to an internet gaming operator
or the applicant shows good cause for being granted a provisional
license.
(2) A
provisional license issued under this rule expires on the date provided by the
board.
(3) If the internet gaming
suppliers provisional license expires, or is suspended or revoked, the
executive director shall forward the applicants application for an internet
gaming supplier license to the board at the conclusion of the background
investigation for action on the application.
(4)The board may, at its discretion, waive
any or all of the provisions listed in subrule (1) of this rule if the
applicant is licensed by the board under the Michigan Gaming Control and
Revenue Act, 1996 IL 1, MCL 432.201 to 432.226, or the lawful sports betting
act, 2019 PA 149, MCL 432.401 to 432.419.
