25 Miss. Code. R. 202-16.1 - Confidentiality

Employees will not access customer financial information unless this is needed in the performance of assigned duties. Perusing customer information to satisfy a personal curiosity is strictly prohibited. We recognize however, that in the course of performing daily duties, employees out of necessity acquire confidential information considered to be extremely sensitive to customers. This information must not be revealed to unauthorized persons. In addition, this information should not be discussed with others within the organization unless their duties also require the information. Customer financial information can be released only when authorized by the customer, or when subpoenaed by a court or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and then the information released must be accurate and within the confines of the authorizing document. In all cases the release of customer information will be based on a written request, and the release will be in accordance with written VHPB instructions.

Violations of this policy by any employee may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
