40 Miss. Code. R. § 2-7.2 - BEAVER CONTROL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Public Notice W2 3169 is hereby amended.

A. Be it ordered that landowners receiving assistance with beaver control through the Mississippi Beaver Control Assistance Program (BCAP) shall be charged fees according to the following schedule:

B. SERVICES WITHOUT COST

1. Initial Assessment of beaver problems/damage.

2. Technical assistance

a. An instructional session that will provide private landowners with knowledge and ability to resolve their own beaver damage problems.

b. Loaning of Wildlife Services equipment, i.e., conibear traps, leghold traps, cage traps and snares unless the loaned equipment is not returned.

3. Work conducted on:

a. State Highways and properties that effect state highways.

b. County Roads and properties that effect county roads in BCAP participating counties.

C. SERVICES WITH PARTIAL COST

1. Work conducted on private land within an enrolled BCAP county.

2. Partial cost charges are:

a. $40.00 minimum fee for all projects worked.

b. $15.00 per hour fee for projects greater than 4 hours.

c. $40.00 fee for each dam removed with explosives.

D. SERVICES WITH FULL COST

1. Work conducted for:

a. Counties that are not enrolled in the BCAP program.

b. Industrial/corporate landowners (statewide).

c. 16th Section land (statewide).

d. NRCS watershed lakes (statewide).

2. Full cost charges are:

a. $80.00 minimum fee for all projects worked.

b. $25.00 per hour fee for all projects greater than 4 hours.

c. $40.00 fee for each dam removed with explosives.
